A recent Primus ad promised, "If you didn't like the last album, you won't like this one either." This is true for "AntiPop," although the trio does branch out with some multi-level epics here, including the excellent "Electric Electric," featuring James Hetfield and Jim Martin (ex-Faith No More). Tom Waits and Tricky singer Martina lend a hand on the spooky patinaed "Coattails of a Deadman," and Tom Morello, Stewart Copeland, and Fred Durst share production duties on various tracks. Namedrops aside, "AntiPop" is everything we've come to expect from Primus, but not much more.
